At the Astana International Forum, senior officials from Kyrgyzstan and Afghanistan held talks to strengthen bilateral cooperation, with a focus on trade, economic collaboration, and regional stability.
On the sidelines of the Astana International Forum, First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Daniyar Amangeldiev, held a bilateral meeting with Afghanistan’s Minister of Industry and Trade, Nooruddin Azizi.
Amangeldiev emphasized Kyrgyzstan’s strong commitment to deepening ties with Afghanistan, highlighting that peace and stability in the country are crucial for broader regional security. He reaffirmed Bishkek’s support for Afghanistan’s efforts to stabilize the country.
He also noted that Kyrgyzstan is actively engaged in international and regional initiatives aimed at promoting peace and development in Afghanistan.
In response, Minister Azizi expressed appreciation for Kyrgyzstan’s support and voiced Afghanistan’s readiness to expand cooperation across various fields. He underlined Kabul’s commitment to boosting trade and economic ties, proposing joint projects and broader commercial engagement.
Discussions also included the potential for increasing Kyrgyz exports to Afghanistan, especially in agricultural goods, textiles, machinery, and equipment.
Both sides concluded the meeting by reaffirming their willingness to support future initiatives that contribute to strengthening Kyrgyz-Afghan relations across all areas of mutual interest.
