Russian President Vladimir Putin’s state visit to Kazakhstan is a "historic event." Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said this at talks with his Russian counterpart.
President Tokayev thanked Russian President Putin for visiting Kazakhstan and called Russia his country's strategic partner and reliable ally. He described their relationship as "meaningful and future-oriented". A joint statement adopted between the two presidents says that Putin invited Tokayev to pay a return visit to Russia next year.
