Kazakhstan and Russia are set to launch 27 new joint projects worth $8 billion, signalling a notable expansion in bilateral economic cooperation.

Yesil Technology Company, a subsidiary of China's Shaanxi Kaizhuo Electronic Technology Co., Ltd., is planning to establish a facility for unmanned drone production in Kazakhstan.
The project initiated with support of a state-run Kazakh Invest, is estimated at $12 million includes construction of an industrial and research area incorporating a workshop for batteries’ production, full-cycle machine storage and drones test site.
“Using various types of low-altitude aircraft, it is effectively applied in many sectors, opening new avenues for economic development. From agriculture and forest protection to logistics, from geodesy to emergency rescue operations, the range of applications for the low-altitude economy is constantly expanding, and its potential is unlimited,” said Yerzhan Yelekeyev, Chairman of the Kazakh Invest Management Board.
UAV-production will be oriented to local supply as well as to regional market of Central Asia.
Yongning Hui, Head of Yesil Technology, said that they will not only focus on production and product improvement, but also on training local personnel in unmanned aerial vehicle technology, closely working with scientific organizations and companies to develop training programs to improve skills.
