Uzbekistan President's Press Office stated that business ties between the two countries have intensified. In May, Uzbekistan opened trade houses in Kabul and Mazar-i-Sharif, and in June, a Preferential Trade Agreement was signed to further boost bilateral trade.

President Mirziyoyev emphasized the importance of expanding cross-border trade and developing the necessary infrastructure, while also promoting joint projects in mining, textiles, pharmaceuticals, construction materials, and agricultural processing.

The two sides also underscored the strategic importance of accelerating the implementation of the Trans-Afghan Railway project, a vital regional initiative.
