China has reported cases of norovirus at a middle school in Shanghai’s Fengxian district, state media said Wednesday. Several students experienced nausea and vomiting, and an investigation confirmed the virus as the cause.
Authorities stated that the situation is stable, with no severe cases. As spring is a peak season for infections, the school is strengthening preventive measures.
Norovirus, also known as the "stomach flu," is a highly contagious virus that causes vomiting, diarrhea, and acute gastroenteritis.
