The Red Sea International Film Festival 2024 debuted with a gala on Thursday, December 5, in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia's port city.
The Saudi festival is currently in its fourth edition, with celebrities such as Will Smith, Catherine Zeta-Jones, and Michael Douglas gracing the red carpet on the first night.
On the grand opening day, the festival showcased the world premiere of the Saudi-Egyptian co-production "The Tale of Daye’s Family Film." The story is about an 11-year-old Nubian boy with albinism, who portrays a beautiful voice but faces challenges due to his distinctive appearance.
The festival will continue until December 12 and the main theme of the year is "The New Home Of Film."
