U.S. singer Chris Brown pleaded not guilty in London to charges of assault and possessing an offensive weapon following a nightclub incident two years ago. His trial is scheduled for October 2026.

U.S. singer Chris Brown appeared at London’s Southwark Crown Court on Friday, pleading not guilty to assault causing actual bodily harm and possessing an offensive weapon in a public place.

The charges relate to an alleged unprovoked attack on music producer Abraham Diaw in a London nightclub in 2023, when Brown is accused of striking him with a bottle.

Brown, 36, had earlier denied a more serious charge of attempting to inflict grievous bodily harm.

His co-defendant, Omololu Akinlolu, 38, also pleaded not guilty to causing actual bodily harm and previously denied attempting to inflict grievous bodily harm.

The trial is set to begin on October 26, 2026.

Around 20 supporters attended the hearing, with some expressing support for Brown as he left the court.

Brown was granted bail in May after posting a £5 million ($6.7 million) security bond, allowing him to resume his "Breezy Bowl XX" tour. He was arrested in Manchester after returning to Britain following the incident.
