He said, “Our personal life has greater value than any algorithm,” and stressed that AI should serve people, not diminish them.
The pope highlighted concerns about how AI might affect children and young people’s development. He called for serious reflection on AI’s ethical side and warned against confusing “access to data” with real wisdom.
Leo also spoke about the risks of AI being misused to cause conflict or harm society. He urged protecting human dignity, culture, and the well-being of young generations.
Ending his remarks, Pope Leo reminded leaders that their task is difficult but crucial, calling for fairness and solidarity as humanity faces new challenges with AI.
