The second day of the annual June Climate Meetings in Bonn focused on preparations for the upcoming COP30 conference.
COP29 and COP30 High-Level Climate Champions, Nigar Arpadarai and Dan Ioschpe, held their first meeting to explore ways to accelerate climate action and strengthen cooperation for COP30 in Belém, Brazil, following COP29 in Baku.
They discussed the achievements of COP29 and the upcoming climate summit in Brazil later this year.
In addition to the High-Level Climate Champions, the COP29 Presidency is also offering support and assistance to the COP30 Organizing Committee across all areas.
