Russia’s Defence Ministry reported that 162 Ukrainian drones were shot down overnight during what it described as a large-scale drone attack on its territory.
Russia’s Defence Ministry announced that its air defence systems intercepted 162 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in a major drone assault that occurred overnight.
According to the ministry, the drones were destroyed between 8:00 p.m. and 2:00 a.m. local time across multiple regions. The breakdown includes 57 drones over Kursk, 31 over Belgorod, 27 over Lipetsk, 16 over Voronezh, 11 each over Bryansk and Ryazan, 6 over Oryol, 1 over Tambov, and 2 over the annexed Crimean peninsula.
The ministry also recalled that Ukraine had targeted Russian military airfields in Murmansk, Ryazan, Irkutsk, and Ivanovo with drones the previous day.
