Kazakhstan and Türkiye are strengthening their defense and security ties through high-level military talks in Ankara, focusing on joint exercises, education, peacekeeping, and arms production.
A high-ranking military delegation from Kazakhstan, led by Lieutenant General Sultan Kamaletdinov, First Deputy Minister of Defense and Chief of the General Staff, visited Ankara to explore avenues for deepening defense cooperation with Türkiye.
During the visit, Kazakh officials met with Türkiye’s Defense Minister Yaşar Güler and the Chief of the General Staff of the Turkish Armed Forces, Army General Metin Gürak. The discussions focused on enhancing military cooperation, regional security, joint training exercises, language and military education, and peacekeeping efforts.
Both sides also reviewed opportunities for collaboration on arms production and military equipment acquisition, highlighting the growing partnership between the two nations. The positive trend in bilateral relations was emphasized through ongoing mutual visits and exchange programs.
Lieutenant General Kamaletdinov also visited Kazakh cadets enrolled in Turkish military institutions and toured defense industry sites and military facilities across Türkiye.
