Huawei Cloud wrapped up its TechWave Summit 2025 in Tashkent with a strong focus on AI-powered cloud solutions transforming industries across the Middle East and Central Asia.
Held under the theme “Accelerate Intelligence, Amplify Success”, the summit brought together tech leaders and experts to showcase how Huawei is helping shape the region’s digital future.
Sean Xiao, Vice President of Huawei Cloud and President of Huawei Hybrid Cloud, said Huawei Cloud Stack is now a key driver in the region’s hybrid cloud market. “From cloud-native to AI-native, Huawei is helping enterprises leap into the AI era with ease,” Xiao said, adding that the company is committed to building a new digital Silk Road.
Alan Qi, President of Huawei Cloud Middle East & Central Asia, emphasized the company’s deep industry focus and full-stack AI offerings that power digital upgrades. Huawei Cloud now operates in 33 regions with 96 availability zones, serving customers in more than 170 countries.
Enterprise Cloud in Action
Huawei showcased its flagship Huawei Cloud Stack platform, which supports over 30 AI foundation models, including DeepSeek and Pangu. CTO Johnny Lyu highlighted how this enables local businesses to build and deploy custom AI models on premises, tailored to sector-specific needs.
The summit featured real-world success stories, including Uzbekistan’s Digital Uzbekistan 2030 strategy. Officials detailed how Huawei helped build a secure national cloud for government services. "We’re building a smarter, more transparent, people-focused government," said Asliddin A. R. from the Digital Government Projects Management Center.
In the private sector, healthcare tech company Waseel shared how Huawei’s cloud-native solutions are helping improve security and streamline operations in the Middle East's medical systems.
AI for Industry Innovation
Huawei Cloud’s AI platforms, including DataArts and ModelArts, were highlighted as key tools for rapid AI adoption across industries. Chief AI Solution Architect Zhu Zhenhua shared how these platforms are driving innovation for over 1,000 customers globally.
A new Huawei Cloud Developer Program was also announced, designed to help developers migrate applications to the cloud while accelerating innovation.
“Cloud for Good” Vision
Huawei reaffirmed its long-term vision of “Everything as a Service,” aiming to make digital transformation accessible to all. The company’s Cloud for Good initiative targets positive impact in education, healthcare, environment, and inclusion, aligning technology with social progress.
The summit concluded with the launch of new scenario-based offerings from Huawei Cloud’s KooGallery in collaboration with ecosystem partners, supporting smarter government and enterprise solutions across the region
