Severe dust storm hits Pakistan's Peshawar, causing damage and casualties

A strong dust and windstorm struck Peshawar on Sunday evening, leading to significant damage and disruption across the city.

The storm caused trees to fall, billboards to collapse, and damaged various parts of the city’s infrastructure. Local rescue teams confirmed that several people were injured by falling debris, and some fatalities have also been reported. The injured were quickly taken to nearby hospitals for treatment.

Power outages were reported in multiple areas, and emergency teams have begun relief efforts and damage assessments.

Authorities are advising residents to remain indoors, as weather forecasts suggest that more severe conditions may follow.
