Iran is set to hold nuclear talks with Britain, France, and Germany (E3) in Istanbul on Friday, aiming to align positions before upcoming U.S.-Iran negotiations.
The Istanbul talks mark a continuation of discussions between Iran and European powers despite heightened tensions over sanctions and regional activities.
Diplomats noted that resuming dialogue with Iran aligns with their interest in shaping the framework of a potential new nuclear agreement.
While the E3 is not directly participating in U.S.-Iran negotiations, it remains in coordination with Washington and may consider activating the snapback mechanism by August if substantial progress on the nuclear discussions is not achieved.
Meanwhile, Oman, mediating between Tehran and Washington, announced that the next round of U.S.-Iran talks is expected to commence shortly following consultations in their respective capitals.
