President Donald Trump called on Vladimir Putin to halt missile strikes on Kyiv, urging a return to peace talks amid rising casualties.

President Donald Trump on Thursday issued a rare public criticism of Russian President Vladimir Putin after a deadly missile and drone attack on Kyiv killed at least ni12 people and injured over 90.

Posting on Truth Social, Trump wrote: “I am not happy with the Russian strikes on KYIV. Not necessary, and very bad timing. Vladimir, STOP! 5000 soldiers a week are dying,” Trump said in a post on his Truth Social platform. “Lets get the Peace Deal DONE!”

The assault, the deadliest on Kyiv since July, came as international efforts to revive peace talks gained momentum. While Russia claims it targets military-linked sites, the high civilian toll has drawn widespread concern.
