A deadly attack at a cockfighting venue in coastal Ecuador has left at least 12 dead, with authorities investigating the scene for clues.
At least 12 people have been killed in an overnight attack in Ecuador’s coastal province of Manabí.
Authorities said the assault occurred at a cockfighting ring, where spectators had gathered to watch rooster fights. After the attack, the perpetrators reportedly abandoned military-style uniforms and set fire to their vehicles before fleeing.
Several injured individuals were transported to local health centers, though the exact number of wounded remains unclear.
Investigation teams are on the scene working to collect evidence and identify those responsible.
