A devastating overnight drone attack on Kyiv, attributed to Russian forces, resulted in the deaths of three people, including a five-year-old child, and left ten others injured.

According to the Kyiv City Military Administration (KCMA), the air raid alert lasted for over five hours, from 20:39 to 01:52.

The casualties included a father and his young daughter, with the youngest victim, just 11 months old, among the deceased. The drone attack led to falling debris in five districts of Kyiv, causing fires, structural damage, and widespread chaos.

In Podilskyi district, debris from a downed drone fell in an industrial area, but no significant structural damage was reported. A fire on the 20th floor of a residential building was extinguished.

In Dniprovskyi district, a fire broke out on the upper floors of a nine-story residential building, with damage also reported to a public catering facility. Additionally, drone debris struck a multi-story residential building, damaging a sixth-floor apartment in a 16-story structure. Despite the damage, no fires occurred in this building.

The Holosiivskyi district saw a 4-story office and warehouse building burn over an area of 2,000 square meters due to drone debris. In Desnianskyi district, debris fell in a forest park area, and in Shevchenkivskyi district, residential cars were damaged by falling drone fragments.

Authorities have yet to assess the full extent of the damage across these districts, but the attack further underscores the ongoing risks posed by drone strikes in the capital. The violence has heightened fears of escalating tensions as the war continues.
