China's foreign ministry stated on Friday that it strongly opposes the threat of an additional 10% tariff imposed by U.S. President Donald Trump and will take all necessary steps to firmly protect its legitimate interests.
Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian remarked at a regular press conference that the U.S. is once again using the fentanyl issue as an excuse to threaten China, emphasising that there are no winners in trade and tariff wars.
