U.S. President Donald Trump and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau spoke on Saturday about the ongoing war in Ukraine and joint efforts to curb the fentanyl trade, Trudeau’s office said.
Their conversation comes ahead of a Monday call between international leaders, NATO’s secretary general, EU officials, and the leaders of Poland and Romania to discuss the war.
Both leaders expressed a shared desire to see an end to the three-year conflict, the White House said, adding that they looked forward to the upcoming discussions.
