For the first time since the war began, the United States has not co-sponsored a UN General Assembly draft resolution on Ukraine, as reported by Russian media.
The resolution, scheduled for discussion on February 24, demands that Russia "immediately, completely, and unconditionally withdraw all its armed forces from Ukraine." While the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Canada, Switzerland, Poland, and the Baltic states are among the co-sponsors, the US is conspicuously absent.
Washington has yet to provide a statement explaining its decision not to co-sponsor the resolution.
