China and the United Kingdom should enhance strategic communication and mutual trust, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said during a meeting with the UK prime minister on Thursday.

Wang's visit to London comes as part of a strategic dialogue with the British foreign secretary, where both nations agreed to accelerate preparations for institutional talks on economy, trade, health, and industrial cooperation, according to China’s foreign ministry.

The discussions highlight efforts to stabilize UK-China relations, amid global economic uncertainties and geopolitical tensions.

While diplomatic ties remain strained over various issues, both governments have signaled a willingness to improve collaboration in key sectors.
