The U.S. National Transportation Safety Board has recovered crucial flight data from the wreckage of a devastating plane crash in Philadelphia, which claimed the lives of at least seven people.
Officials confirmed the cockpit voice recorder and enhanced ground proximity warning system were found buried eight feet underground at the impact site, along with the black box. These parts are now being analyzed at the agency’s labs in Washington, D.C.
The wreckage recovery continues, with the plane’s two engines sent to Delaware for examination. Authorities are reviewing surveillance footage and witness statements.
A preliminary report is expected in 30 days, but the final findings on the cause may take up to two years.
