The U.N. Palestinian relief agency, UNRWA, is continuing its assistance and services in Gaza, the West Bank, and East Jerusalem. This comes as a ban on the agency in Israel came into effect.
U.N. Secretary-General Antonio Guterres also called for the immediate evacuation of 2,500 children from Gaza for medical treatment, following a meeting with U.S. doctors who warned that the children were at imminent risk of death.
The World Health Organization reported that more than 12,000 patients are waiting for medical evacuations.
