Egypt, U.S. presidents to lead Sharm el-Sheikh summit

On Monday, Egypt will host an international peace summit in the Red Sea city of Sharm el-Sheikh, co-chaired by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and U.S. President Donald Trump.

According to a presidential statement, the summit will bring together leaders from more than 20 countries. Its main aim is to end the war in the Gaza Strip, strengthen peace and stability in the Middle East, and usher in a new phase of regional security.

The statement added that the summit is being held in the context of U.S. President Donald Trump’s efforts to secure peace in the region and resolve global conflicts.
