The Kremlin on 15 July welcomed U.S. envoy Keith Kellogg’s mediation efforts during his visit to Kyiv and restated its readiness for further direct peace talks, while noting Ukraine has yet to respond.

“It is very important for us that Mr. Kellogg, as a representative of the team of President Trump, continues his efforts to provide mediation services,” said Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

He reaffirmed Russia’s readiness to participate in a third round of direct negotiations with Ukraine, following previous talks in May and June in Istanbul, but noted that Kyiv “is in no hurry” and has not proposed a date.

In Kyiv, Kellogg was welcomed by Andriy Yermak, head of Ukraine’s Presidential Office, who said discussions would focus on security, weapons, sanctions, and cooperation between Ukraine and the United States.

Commenting on President Trump’s recent announcement that Patriot missiles will be delivered to Ukraine, Peskov said Moscow assumes that U.S. military support continues.
