Russia and Ukraine have carried out another prisoner exchange under the June 2 Istanbul agreement, with both sides confirming the swap on Friday.

The repatriated Russian servicemen are currently receiving medical and psychological care in Belarus before being transferred to hospitals in Russia for further treatment and rehabilitation.

The ministry did not disclose the number of personnel involved.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy also confirmed the exchange, stressing the need for such exchanges to continue and thanking those facilitating the process.

The agreement reached in Istanbul outlines a framework for regular detainee exchanges and the return of fallen soldiers from both sides. It follows earlier direct talks between Russia and Ukraine in May—their first diplomatic engagement in nearly three years of conflict.
