President Ilham Aliyev emphasized that Armenia must respect Azerbaijanis' right to return to their ancestral lands as a fundamental condition for achieving peace, reconciliation, and upholding human rights in the region.
President Ilham Aliyev's statement was made during the International Symposium of Ombudsmen on "Strengthening the Rule of Law: The Role of Ombudsmen and National Human Rights Institutions".

The President called for historical justice, stressing the need for the peaceful and safe return of displaced Azerbaijanis to their homeland.
