Erdogan and Pashinyan discuss regional issues, Türkiye-Armenia ties

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan held a phone conversation today. During the call, PM Pashinyan extended his congratulations to President Erdogan on the occasion of Kurban Bayrami.

In return, President Erdogan congratulated PM Pashinyan on the upcoming European Political Community Summit scheduled to take place in Armenia in spring 2026.

The leaders also addressed issues concerning Armenia-Turkey relations and regional developments, agreeing to maintain ongoing dialogue.

Türkiye's Communications Directorate said in a statement that Erdogan emphasized the importance of comprehensive normalization in the region and peaceful negotiations between Azerbaijan and Armenia, expressing satisfaction with the ongoing contacts between Türkiye and Armenia.
