President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met with Jin Liqun, President of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), in Tianjin, China on Monday.
The meeting was held to discuss expanding strategic cooperation across infrastructure, green energy, and development projects.
Both leaders expressed satisfaction with the current level of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the AIIB, noting successful joint projects in sectors especially green energy.
The discussions explored future collaboration opportunities, focusing on the Middle Corridor, metro construction, water management, and renewable energy initiatives.
The meeting concluded with the exchange of a joint declaration on strategic cooperation in the presence of President Aliyev and the AIIB President.
President Aliyev is currently attending the SCO meeting in China where he has met with various heads of state with an aim to boost cooperation between Azerbaijan and relevant allies.
