Uzbekistan to launch new trade route to China and Mongolia

Uzbekistan Ministry of Transport

The first pilot cargo shipment along the Uzbekistan–Kyrgyzstan–China–Mongolia transport corridor has been successfully completed.

The Uzbek national carrier completed the 4,500 km journey in 8 days, traversing the challenging terrain of the Altai Mountains and reaching altitudes of up to 1,500 meters above sea level.

Organized by the Uzbek Ministry of Transport in cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the pilot shipment aims to open new markets for Uzbek-made products and establish regular cargo transport along this strategic corridor.

“Given the current challenges in the global logistics market, the development of this corridor is crucial for Uzbekistan’s national carriers. It will support business expansion, enhance operational efficiency, and strengthen their competitiveness both regionally and globally,” the ministry added.
