The Weeknd has collaborated with notable artists for this project, including Brazilian singer Anitta and synth pioneer Giorgio Moroder.
The announcement comes after a pivotal moment in 2022 during his After Hours Til Dawn tour when his voice failed him on stage at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles. Despite fighting through exhaustion and sickness in the past, this was the first time his voice couldn’t deliver, leaving him feeling defeated. After medical advice, it became clear that the issue wasn’t physical but mental, prompting him to reflect on his future in music.
