Investment firm Azoria postpones Tesla ETF after Musk plans political party

Reuters

Investment firm Azoria Partners announced it would delay the launch of its Tesla ETF following Elon Musk's declaration of forming a new U.S. political party.

Musk's announcement came after he polled his followers on X, saying, "Today the America Party is formed to give you back your freedom." Azoria had planned to launch the ETF next week, which would invest in Tesla shares and options. However, Azoria CEO James Fishback criticized Musk's political move and called for clarification on whether his political ambitions align with his CEO role at Tesla.

The delay of the ETF highlights concerns among investors about Tesla's future, especially after Musk stepped back from his government role in May. Tesla did not respond to requests for comment.
