Türkiye’s homegrown social media platform, Next Sosyal (officially known as Next Teknofest Sosyal), has officially surpassed 1 million users in less than one month, TEKNOFEST Executive Board Chair Selçuk Bayraktar announced on Saturday.
Launched last month (23 July), the platform was developed under the leadership of the T3 Foundation to provide a secure, Artificial Intelligence (AI) powered social media experience.
“Türkiye's most social platform, NSosyal, has surpassed 1 million users." said Selcuk Bayraktar.
Next Sosyal also recently became the top free app in the 'social network' category on mobile stores.
The platform has been designed for users to share content on news, technology, lifestyle, and current events, while filtering out misinformation, profanity, bot accounts, and manipulative algorithms, and for users to freely express their thoughts.
Powered by T3 AI, a Turkish-built large language model, the platform responds to user-tagged posts and uses tools built by young developers to detect misinformation.
To mark the milestone, Bayraktar announced a giveaway campaign with prizes including an electric bike, PlayStation, and smartphones, running until 22 Aug for users posting with the hashtag #NSosyalBenim.
