U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio arrived late Wednesday in the Mediterranean city of Antalya to attend an informal meeting of NATO foreign ministers.
Rubio is also expected to hold talks with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan during his visit.
Ahead of the gathering, Turkish Foreign Ministry sources said Türkiye is prepared to take on greater responsibility in shaping the future of European security and promoting peace in neighboring regions.
The two-day meeting, held in Antalya on Wednesday and Thursday, highlights Türkiye’s continued commitment to NATO and Euro-Atlantic security.
