A 5.9 magnitude earthquake has struck off the coast of Jalisco, Mexico.
According to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), the earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers. The tremor took place near the western coast of the Pacific Ocean.
So far, there have been no reports of significant damage or casualties. Local authorities and emergency response teams are monitoring the situation and advising residents to remain cautious. Although the earthquake was felt in surrounding areas, no tsunami warning has been issued.
Mexico is located in a seismically active region of the Pacific Ring of Fire, where such tremors occur frequently. It remains unclear whether the earthquake will lead to aftershocks or a larger event.
