Crowds gathered outside Buckingham Palace on Monday as the Royal Air Force flypast began, with members of the royal family observing from the palace balcony.

Hundreds of spectators lined the Mall and gathered near the Queen Victoria Memorial to witness the RAF flypast, a ceremonial highlight marking the event. Police officers were seen guiding the crowd forward to ensure an orderly view of the palace.

Despite grey skies and windy conditions, the mood was festive. Many in the crowd waved flags and held up phones to capture the moment. Children perched on shoulders to catch a glimpse of the palace and the aircraft overhead, according to the PA news agency.

As the flypast began, the royal family appeared on the Buckingham Palace balcony to watch the display. The moment drew cheers from the public, who snapped photos and videos of both the royals and the planes soaring above central London.
