Next round of U.S.-Iran talks is planned for 19th April

Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei announced that the next round of negotiations between Tehran and Washington on nuclear issue will take place in Muscat, Oman.

Baqaei stated that, following consultations, it was decided the talks would be held in the Omani capital on 19th April.

The talks will follow a visit by Rafael Mariano Grossi of the International Atomic Energy Agency to Iran later this week.

Meantime Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi will visit Moscow later this week which whould be "an opportunity to discuss the latest developments related to the Muscat talks."

Envoys from Iran and the United States held a first round of indirect negotiations in Muscat on April 12.

Omani Foreign Minister Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi acted as an intermediary, shuttling between the Iranian and American delegations to relay messages. Both sides later described the talks as constructive and agreed to continue discussions next week.
