Russian forces have bombed a residential building in Kupiansk, leaving civilians injured.

At least four people have been injured in the Ukrainian city of Kupiansk after Russian forces struck a private residence with a glide bomb.

Officials said the attack happened amid heavy shelling of the city. The injured include a 25-year-old woman, a 26-year-old man, and two women aged 52 and 73.

Preliminary reports suggest at least three more people may still be trapped under the rubble.

Kupiansk, in Ukraine's Kharkiv region, was captured by Russian forces early in the February 2022 invasion but was later retaken by Ukrainian troops in a swift counter-offensive.

Russian forces have continued to target the town in recent months, as part of their broader push through eastern Ukraine.

In the southern Kherson region, partly under Russian control, local officials said a drone strike hit a car carrying war volunteers, killing one person and injuring two others.
