A Philippine Air Force FA-50 fighter jet went missing during a Tactical Night Operations exercise early Tuesday, just minutes before reaching its target, local media reported.
Air Force officials lost contact with the jet after midnight, and despite repeated attempts, other aircraft in the exercise failed to re-establish communication. The number of crew members onboard and the exact location of the incident remain undisclosed.
Authorities have launched an extensive search operation using all available resources, prioritizing the safe return of the aircrew. The FA-50 is a light combat aircraft developed by South Korea’s Korea Aerospace Industries in collaboration with Lockheed Martin.
