The Azerbaijan State News Agency

A rare astronomical event will take place this evening as six planets align in the night sky.

The Department of Astrophysics at Baku State University confirms that after sunset, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune will be visible at the same time.

According to AZERTAC, referencing the university’s press service, the planets will appear in sequence from west to east: Saturn, Venus, Neptune, Uranus, Jupiter, and Mars.

While Uranus and Neptune will require optical aid such as binoculars or a telescope, the remaining planets should be clearly visible to the naked eye.

The next opportunity to witness this alignment will be on 28 February.
