Syria and Ukraine restore diplomatic ties as presidents meet in New York

Syria and Ukraine have restored diplomatic relations following a meeting between Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on the sidelines of the 80th United Nations General Assembly in New York.
