At least six people, including a nine-year-old girl, were killed in Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip on Sunday, 12 July, Palestinian health officials said.
Medics said nine-year-old Tala Abu Matar was killed by Israeli gunfire near a tent encampment on the eastern edge of the Al-Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza.
The Israeli military said it was not aware of the incident.
In a separate attack, an Israeli airstrike hit a metal foundry in Gaza City's Sabra neighbourhood, killing four people.
Witnesses said the site was hit by three missiles.
The Israeli military told Reuters it had targeted "terrorist" infrastructure but did not provide further details about the strike.
Although a ceasefire agreed in October 2025 halted large-scale fighting between Israel and Hamas, violence has continued.
According to Gaza health authorities, more than 1,000 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli attacks since the truce came into effect. Israel says four of its soldiers have also been killed by militants in Gaza during the same period.
The latest violence comes as Hamas representatives hold talks in Cairo on implementing the second phase of U.S. President Donald Trump's Gaza peace plan.
According to sources familiar with the negotiations, discussions include Hamas' disarmament and the withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza, although no breakthrough has been reported.
Nearly all of Gaza's two million residents remain displaced, with many living in tents or damaged buildings following months of conflict.
