Arina Kalugina, who represents Azerbaijan in international figure skating, achieved a major milestone by breaking the previous Olympic record in the Quadruple Salchow jump. She scored a personal best of 2.91 points during her performance, surpassing Japan’s Mao Shimada, who last held the record.
Kalugina went on to win the bronze medal with a total score of 167.24 points. The event brought together 20 skaters from 13 countries, marking another strong result for Azerbaijan’s emerging figure skating program.
