Flights temporarily suspended at Brussels Airport after drone sighting

Brussels Airport temporarily halted air traffic on Wednesday evening following the sighting of a possible drone near the airfield. Flight operations were suspended for about half an hour as a precautionary measure, according to Belgian air navigation service provider Skeyes.

Brussels Airport reopens after drone sightings

Brussels airport, Belgium's busiest, reopened on Wednesday morning after drone sightings during the previous night had resulted in it being temporarily closed, although some flights remained disrupted, its website said.

Nationwide strike in Belgium hits airports

Belgium’s two largest airports, Brussels Airport and Charleroi Airport, have confirmed that no departing passenger flights will operate on February 13 due to a nationwide strike. Cancellations are also possible on arriving flights. Impacted passengers will be notified by their airline.
