Armenia to discuss Kars and Nakhchivan railway links with Russia

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said on Thursday 8 October, that Yerevan will discuss the possible construction of railway connections with the Turkish city of Kars and the Azerbaijani city of Nakhchivan with Russian officials next week, according to local media.

A border can shorten the road, It cannot build an economy

Opening the Türkiye-Armenia frontier could cut costs, revive rail links and bring visitors through Kars. But traffic is not prosperity. Unless goods stop, businesses grow and jobs remain, Kars may become a corridor from which others profit.
