Iran has alerted the International Criminal Court (ICC) to the killing of civilians, medical staff and aid workers in U.S.–Israeli attacks, the vice-president of the Iranian Red Crescent Society has said.
Dr Razieh Alishvandi told AnewZ’s Touraj Shiralilou that Tehran had also contacted the World Health Organization (WHO) and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) to report large-scale destruction and civilian casualties.
Iran is not a member of the ICC, meaning the court cannot automatically investigate crimes committed within the country. Israel and the U.S. are also not members.

The ICC issued an arrest warrant in 2024 for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu over alleged war crimes and crimes against humanity.
Dr Alishvandi also praised neighbouring and regional countries, as well as international organisations, for providing humanitarian aid.
“Within the framework of international humanitarian law diplomacy, Iran’s Red Crescent has been receiving international aid coordinated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs,” he said.
“The donor countries include Russia, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Iraq, India and China. They have been sending medicine, medical equipment, relief items as well as food which were distributed among the war-stricken people.”
